How to Measure Your Ring Size

  1. 1

Use a Ring You Already Own

Find a ring that fits the finger you want to measure. Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter in millimeters.

  2. 2

    Measure with String or Paper

Wrap a piece of string or paper around your finger. Mark where it overlaps, then measure the length with a ruler to get the circumference.

  3. 3

    Compare to Chart

Match your measurement to the chart above to find your US ring size. If you're between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort.

  4. 4

    Double Check

Measure 2-3 times to ensure accuracy. Your finger size can vary throughout the day, so measure when your hands are at normal temperature.

Pro Tips

  • Measure at the end of the day when fingers are largest
  • Avoid measuring when hands are cold or hot
  • Wide bands typically need a larger size than thin bands
  • Consider knuckle size - the ring needs to slide over it
  • When in doubt, go up half a size for comfort
